Dynamic Performance of Box Girder and CFST Arch Combination Bridge Considering Pile-Soil Interaction
Based on an actual project of a box girder and concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) arch combination bridge, two spatial finite element model (FEM) models with rigid foundation and pile foundation were built respectively. The pile-soil effect was studied and the mass-spring system was used to calculate the lateral soil resistance around pile. The variations of the structure's inherent vibration performance and seismic response between these two models were studied. The results reveal that the vibration modes are altered, the inherent vibration periods are extended, the corresponding displacements and internal forces under time history excitation vary as well. Therefore it is necessary to take into account the influence of pile-soil interaction.
