New Troja Bridge in Prague – Concept and Structural Analysis of Steel Parts
The aim of this paper is to describe the concept and structural analysis of the steel parts of “New Troja Bridge” in Prague. The bridge, with a main span length of 200.4 m, crosses the Vltava River and will serve tramway, car and pedestrian traffic. The bridge is a simply supported bowstring-arch bridge with two twins of inclined network type webs. This paper presents philosophy of analysis, the construction process of the steel parts, the influence of the phases of construction, a stability assessment of the arch and the basic results of dynamic analysis.
