Highway Section D1, Jablonov – Studenec, Bridge 205, the 1,650th km, Right Traffic Lane
This paper focuses on the steel superstructures of a bridge, Bridge 205, located on highway section D1, Jablonov – Studenec, at the 1,650th km. It is the longest bridge (length approximately 670 m) of the seven bridges on this highway section. The bridge is situated in an area of many significant historical sites such as Levoca city, Spis castle and Spis canonry. This was considered during the design of the architectural appearance of the bridge – the bridge includes an upper bridge deck supported by arches reflecting the gothic structures of this region. This paper describes the structural solution of the bridge, the materials used and realization procedures.
