At the 16th ITS World Congress in Stockholm (2009) The Hague presented its vision for Urban ITS in the near future. From Regional ITS Strategies with strong regional cooperation the deployment and operationalization of ITS measures and scenarios was bound to be delivered. In this paper and presentation for the 19th ITS World Congress 2012 in Vienna the City of The Hague gives an overview of the actions taken so far on the road towards a full operational Urban ITS system. Together with regional partners the author developed and implemented ITS systems. Within this regional cooperation it was possible to bid for a national grant for ITS equipment that was successful.
