SEEPAGE ANALYSIS THROUGH ZONED ANISOTROPIC SOILS BY COMPUTER

A GENERAL METHOD IS DEVELOPED FOR ANALYZING SEEPAGE THROUGH SOILS COMPRISING ZONES OF DIFFERENT PERMEABILITY AND ANISOTROPIC PROPERTIES. A NUMERICAL PROCEDURE IS USED WITH A TRIANGULAR MESH SYSTEM, AND, BY SUITABLY ARRANGING THE TRIANGLES, NO SIMPLIFYING ASSUMPTIONS FOR THE PROPERTIES OF THE SOIL SECTION ARE REQUIRED.
