Commuting in America 2013—Brief 4: Population and Worker Dynamics
This paper is the fourth in a series of briefs depicting commuting in America. It discusses the dynamics of the population and labor force of the United States. The series was undertaken in conjunction with a National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) project, and was sponsored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). It specifically targets data on mobility, immigration, migration, differential rates of growth in metropolitan areas and regions, and other population and labor force dynamics.
