NJT Goes to Greater Lengths

This article discusses New Jersey Transit (NJT)'s work to expand seating capacity without straining its capital budget. NJT's Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system is testing a prototype light rail vehicle, designed to offer 33% more seating capacity and increased standing room. Conversion to this LR is estimated to cost 75% less than purchasing new standard LRVs.
