Analysis of California Vehicle Code and Relevant Laws re Bicycle Tracks

The author is a single parent with a life long disability. His interest in pedestrian safety was not based on his limitations but started out of concern for what his sons would face when they would be going to and from school, library, parks, sports classes, movies, etc. When they were toddlers, he had to constantly monitor many aspects of the walking environment: sidewalks, street corners, crosswalks, traffic signals, oncoming traffic, and turning traffic, including bicyclists. Since then, the efforts to promote walking and bicycling have grown.
