Experiences and Benefits of PPP in Enhanced Traffic Information Delivery

Productivity and cost-effective objectives of public sector are more and more demanding. Intelligent transportation system (ITS) service business models are changing – especially from the public sector point of view. Infotripla Ltd has been actively working towards more effective Public Private Partnership (PPP) with public sectors representatives, which has resulted in several new service solutions based on the PPP business model. The benefits of open and flexible co-operation process to provide public services and open public data to 3rd parties are resulting also in productivity of public services. In addition to background and market situation, the proposed presentation will concentrate to share the experiences of PPP business model in real use. Experiences will be illustrated by our PPP service expert and by some best practice business model cases. Cases are PPP business models in operation for public services in nationwide and regional service concepts. Benefits are undeniable for the whole transport system due to better services through 3rd parties' services and traffic management operations with less resources, risks of technology or costs to overdraw the public budget – as already approved by public authorities.
