New wheel steel set to improve wear resistance

In order to guarantee wheel resistance against wear and rolling contact fatigue, a new grade of steel has been designed. This article explains the details of how the new wheel is going through a stringent testing and quality control program, according to European standards, as well as the Russian Gost standard.
