Get the message: distracted driving and teens

Distracted driving is a major issue of road safety in the United States. It happens when a driver diverts his or her attention from focusing on operating the vehicle. Distraction can cause slow reaction time, lowered vehicle control, and lessened awareness of objects outside the vehicle. The high number of adolescent drivers involved in distraction-related crashes shows that teens are the most susceptible to distraction while driving.
