Study and airport demand forecast to the city of Rio de Janeiro

Estudo e previsão de demanda aeroportuária para a cidade do Rio de Janeiro

This paper involves carrying out an airport demand study for the city of Rio de Janeiro with the aim to predict the organic growth of passenger traffic for the year 2014. For this, tools of econometrics were used to develop predictive domestic and international demand models and generate forecasts by analyzing different scenarios. Therefore, part of the goal is to create a technical foundation to enable an analysis of airport capacity in Rio de Janeiro and contribute to decision making in the allocation of investments in the airport sector.
