Air transportation - an alternative to road transportation of cargo

Transporte aéreo - uma alternativa ao transporte rodoviário de cargas

In this work, an analysis was done based on direct costs of air transportation as an alternative to road freight transport under certain conditions, such as a large number of tolls, uncertain security conditions due to theft of cargo on route, and arrival at destination due to the poor conditions of Brazilian highways. Despite showing higher costs, air transportation has additional advantages of being faster, secure, and reliable. Also, some considerations were taken about the origin, destination, and frequency of loads by range of short, medium, and long distances.
