Ambulance safety measures prove their worth. Model vehicles are cheaper to run and seem safer for crews
Four years ago a team of technical experts, led by the EMS Safety Foundation, determined the safest aspects of ambulances and combined them into a single vehicle that could be built and put on the road. Three years ago those vehicles were actually put into use. This article examines how these vehicles have performed in terms of safety and fuel efficiency.
