The Association's road safety manual

Its commitment to contribute to the implementation of the Global Plan for the Decade of action for Road Safety as developed by the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration and stakeholders from around the world has been confirmed by the World Road Association (PIARC). A need for new global guides on road safety has been created by the emphasis on road safety. While some global guidance on road safety exists, it is not comprehensive in covering all elements of the road safety management system, nor is it easily accessible from one source. A vital need exists for further guidance. An understanding of the road safety needs of low, middle and high-income countries, as well as a robust knowledge base, is required by such an effort.
