Maximizing Transportation Efficiencies and Economic Impact of the Southwest Missouri Foreign-Trade Zone
This report presents an overview of Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ or Zone) and their impact on economic development, goods movement jobs creation and retention. Zones provide a competitive advantage for multi-national manufacturing and distribution firms resulting in the retention of jobs within regions containing a strong FTZ program. This report also identified infrastructure enhancements to increase the flow of international trade into and out of the study region of Southwest Missouri.
