The Road Safety Monitor 2012: Knowledge of Vehicle Safety Features in Canada
This fact sheet relates how familiar Canadians are with various safety features in their vehicles. A public opinion survey was conducted by the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) under sponsorship from the Brewers Association of Canada, Toyota Canada Foundation and Aviva. Drivers were asked how familiar they were with six different features: Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Traction control (TC), Electronic stability control (ESC), Brake assist(BA), Electronic brake force distribution (EBFD), and brake override.
