MARINE MAIN ENGINE WITH HYDROSTATIC DRIVE UNIT

SCHIFFSHAUPTMOTOR MIT HYDROSTATISCHEM TRIEBWERK

Description and results of preliminary tests, conducted with a diesel engine, having a hydrostatic drive unit for direct propulsion of propeller shaft by rotary piston, are outlined. Such an engine should replace low-speed two-stroke engines.
