Airline efficiency: an analysis based on the Li & Reeves model
Eficiência de empresas aéreas: uma análise baseada no modelo de Li & Reeves
The deregulation of the domestic airline industry brought a significant increase in competition between airlines, pushing them to continuously update their strategies. This article reviews the operating performance of these companies, from the contrast in the results of DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) classic model and MCDEA-TRIMAP (Muliple Criteria Data Envelopment Analysis-Tri-Critera Linear Programing Package) efficiency indicators. The use of such methodology reduces the number of units on the efficient frontier and allows a better evaluation of them.
