Forecast model of supply and demand for hydrated bioethanol for strategic planning of transport in Brazil

Modelo de previsão de oferta e demanda de bioetanol hidratado para apoio ao planejamento estratégico de transportes no Brasil

This paper proposes predictive models of supply and demand for hydrated bioethanol for the whole of Brazil, in order to test the fleet dedicated to bioethanol as the main explanatory variable. The paper also analyzes the errors using the cointegration technique to avoid the presence of spurious regressions in modeling. The authors verified that the models developed were suitable for long-term forecasts for Brazil but only in the short term for the states.
