CONDENSED FINAL CONSTRUCTION INSTRUMENTATION REPORT

THE FINAL REPORT ON THE CONSTRUCTION, PERFORMANCE, AND ANTICIPATED BEHAVIOR OF THE EMBANKMENT FOR A PORTION OF INTERSTATE-95 IN REVERE AND SAUGUS, MASS., IS SUMMARIZED. THE MAJOR TOPICS TREATED IN THE CONDENSATION ARE SOIL CONDITIONS, EMBANKMENT SETTLEMENT AND STABILITY, INSTRUMENTATION, CONTROL OF EMBANKMENT CONSTRUCTION, THE CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE, AND INSTRUMENTATION READINGS AND ANALYSIS. EVALUATION PROCEDURES AND RESULTS ARE DESCRIBED AT LENGTH. CONCLUSIONS ARE REPORTED WITH RESPECT TO ANALYTICAL METHODS, MEASURING PROCEDURES, EMBANKMENT SETTLEMENT, THE CONSTRUCTION CONTROL PROGRAM, SURCHARGING, AND FUTURE USE OF THE INSTRUMENTATION.
