European Research Project on ICT for Electric Vehicles
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the successful replacement of CO2 emitting cars with alternatives have been limited for several reasons. The ELVIRE research project is looking at the limiting factors and is focusing its research activities on mitigating Range Anxiety. The fear of getting stranded before the vehicle reaches the next charge station can be addressed in several ways, technically and via a business model. The ELVIRE report provides a comprehensive overview on the selected technologies, the way the systems are developed and deployed and gives insights into the new business of an E-Mobility Service Provider.
