AUSCULTATION OF BRITTLE ROCK MASSES AROUND UNDERGROUND WORKS BY MEANS OF ELASTIC WAVE PROPAGATION /IN FRENCH/

REFRACTION MICROSEISMIC MEASUREMENTS FROM THE WALLS OF TUNNELS SHOW THE EXISTENCE OF DECOMPRESSION IN ROCKS. THIS PHENOMENON OCCURS MAINLY UNDER THICK ROCK COVERS AND IN RIGID AND BRITTLE ROCKS. A STUDY WAS MADE OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIMIT-DECOMPRESSION WHICH OCCUR IN PRACTICE, AND OF THE ORIGIN AND GEOTECHNICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PHEOMENON. /TRRL/
