Ready to start in the Central Valley

Following the award of an initial civil works package by California High Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) in June of 2013, a groundbreaking ceremony is imminent, as California's biggest infrastructure program continues to move forward. The Governmental Accountability Office (GAO) examined CHSRA's ridership projects, economic impact modelling and cost-benefit analysis and found them to be reasonable. They also examined the role of the private sector and found that private sector investment is easier to attract once public sector capital investment is in place, which is consistent with CHSRA's plan - one that should benefit not only California, but the entire nation.
