Monitoring and Maintenance Management for ASFINAG´s Traffic Telematic Systems – Requirement Analysis and System Design
Efficient operation and maintenance management of complex and spatially distributed traffic telematic systems make great demands on operators and systems used. A growing number of manufacturers involved and versatile system functions ranging from traffic control and video technology to traffic information services open up a wide spectrum of requirements for monitoring, maintenance and quality assurance. Highly integrated monitoring and maintenance management systems including trouble-shooting and scheduling of maintenance measures and inspections are well ahead of conventional, generally organisational solutions or unnetworked individual systems. Technology transfer has made the ASFINAG infrastructure monitoring system a complex tool based on established systems.
