This book focuses on the delivery of time-sensitive/perishable goods and pro-active steps that can be taken to improve delivery time, customer service, and vehicle diversions. It includes the development of a model for Real-time Distribution Of Perishable Goods (RDOPG) and explores the benefits of using stochastic knowledge of prior customer requests.
