TEST OF A DRILLING BIT

DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF A CONSTRUCTION SITE TEST CARRIED OUT WITH A VIEW TO DEFINING NORMAL SOIL AND SOIL WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO EXCAVATE. THE EQUIPMENT USED FOR THE TEST, WAS A DRILLING BIT WITH A CUTTING ANGLE OF 30 DEGREES, A HAMMER WEIGHT OF 10 KG, AND A DROP OF 1 METRE. /TRRL/
