Intelligent Transport Systems, the Keys to Improve the Quality of Life of the Citizens
The building of infrastructure transport offering lower uncertainty, travel times and responses by incident and / or accidents, greater safety and greater environmental protection and user information, ie, an improved service quality and therefore of life for the society in a sustainable way, is an attractive goal. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technology supports existing infrastructure, and the idea of designing future roads or buildings and works without their use is unthinkable. Moreover, technologically speaking, people can act and think locally but they must do so in a systemic way using global thinking (glocal thinking). The use of international standards is becoming indispensable as the interdependence and interconnectivity is increasingly a no return path.
