Fail safe

Functional safety in accordance with International Organization for Standards (ISO) 26262, as vehicles are basically becoming electronic computers on wheels, is of vital importance. The ways in which suppliers and car makers are embracing this standard, which was designed to create systems that operate as intended, are discussed in this article.
