Using timetabling optimization prototype tools in new ways to support decision making

Trafikverket is a Swedish infrastructure manager that is financing research for tools that optimize railroad timetables. This paper describes how computers in railroad planning can aid in providing valuable insights into decision making for railroad transportation. It discusses data modeling and apt modeling as well.
