Developing and Supporting High-Usage Traffic Information Mobile Apps
This paper describes the experience of the author's company in developing and supporting high-usage mobile applications providing traffic information to users. Within a time span of about 18 months the Smartphone apps have garnered over 1.2 million downloads. The company has interacted with a very engaged audience providing actionable crowdsourced data.
