RECENT DECISIONS IN PLANNING LAW: 1967

DECISIONS IN ZONING LAW APPLICABLE TO RESIDENTIAL LAND USE CONTROLS, RESIDENTIAL BUILDING TYPES, PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, COMMUNITY FACILITIES AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION ARE DISCUSSED. A LARGE NUMBER OF CASES INVOLVE CONFLICTS BETWEEN RESIDENTIAL AND NONRESIDENTIAL LAND USE. NONRESIDENTIAL AREA CONTROLS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. ZONING DEVICES SUCH AS OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS AND SIGNS ARE DISCUSSED. CASES ARISING FROM URBAN RENEWAL PROGRAMS IN LAND USE CONTROLS CONCERNING LOCATION OF HIGHWAYS, LANDSCAPE PRESERVATION AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION ARE DISCUSSED.
