Energy Efficiency: Is the United States Improving?
This report looks at 15 different indicators of United States energy efficiency and whether progress in efficiency has been made over the past year. Data was collected from sources, such as, the Department of Transportation, the International Energy Agency, and the Energy Information Administration and compared to the previous year. Tables present the indicators, a description, the status, and results. Areas of improvement include state energy efficiency programs, fuel economy standards, appliance standards, building codes, energy use reductions in residential buildings, energy productivity, and greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Eight indicators show little to no improvement.
