REMARKS ON THE CALCULATION OF WATER MIGRATION IN UNSATURATED SOIL /IN RUMANIAN/

BASED ON THE KLUTE EQUATION, A RELATION IS ESTABLISHED BETWEEN VARIATIONS IN MOISTURE CONTENT AS A FUNCTION OF TIME AND VARIATIONS IN SUCTION PRESSURE AS A FUNCTION OF THE DISTANCE FROM THE MOISTURE SOURCE. AN ATTEMPT IS MADE TO ESTABLISH A SECOND RELATION BETWEEN THE HUMIDITY OF THE SOIL AND PORE WATER PRESSURE BASED ON THE CONDITION OF EQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN SUCTION FORCES AND WATER MIGRATION RESISTANCE FORCES. WITH THIS 2-EQUATION SYSTEM, THE PROBLEM OF HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL UNIAXIAL MIGRATION IS SOLVED. /LCPC/RRL/
