Skidding of Special Freight Car from the Ferry Ramp

Slijetanje specijalnoga teretnog vozila s ulazne rampe trajekta

Considered from the aspect of forensics, such accidents are extremely complicated. Since the forensics was separated by branches of traffic and narrowly refined, such accidents result in a number of problems. In fact, the already broad knowledge needs to be further expanded in order to connect and analyze two completely different transport means. In addition, there is the problem of overlapping during the investigation, and because of (like it or not) subjective nature of the inquiry, some data are doubled, while some related to the same thing are different. However, these problems do make the combined expertise interesting. Maritime accident is an event associated with the operation of a ship, which could endanger or, if adequate steps fail to be undertaken to prevent or mitigate adverse consequences could threaten the safety of the ship, persons on board or any other person or marine environment. Due to improper mooring, the situation was relatively simple. However, if the same situation had occurred while the ship was tied with four lines, great efforts would have been required in determining and proving guilt. In such situations, the hardest thing is to present to the jury what the expert “sees”, their “film” of the developments. It is precisely because of this, so that the jury can also see the expert’s “film” that today various computer programs are used which on the basis of the input make appropriate animations and simulations.
