THE WAY AHEAD FOR THE DIESEL-HYDRAULIC

With its efficiency over a wide range of speeds and its high capacity for thermal overload, the hydraulic transmission offers many advantages for both diesel and gas-turbine motive power. However, as Dipl. Ing. Curt Lampe points out, many nations prefer to use the products of their own electrical industry and the number of countries manufacturing hydraulic transmissions is small.
