THE APPLICATION OF CREEP THEORY FOR THE DESCRIPTION OF DEFORMATION OF THE SKELETON OF CLAY SOILS DURING ONE- DIMENSIONAL HARDENING /IN RUSSIAN/

USE IS MADE OF RHEOLOGY TO STUDY CREEP DEFORMATION OF THE SKELETON OF CLAY SOILS DURING ONE-DIMENSIONAL COMPRESSION. SAMPLES WERE BOTH DISTURBED AND UNDISTURBED. RESULTS (PRESENTED IN GRAPHICAL FORM) INDICATE THE GENERAL RELIABILITY OF THE SELECTED RHEOLOGICAL METHOD. HOWEVER, DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEORETICAL AND LABORATIORY DEFORMATIONS ON THE ORDER OF 59 PER CENT WERE IN EVIDENCE FOR SOME FEW TESTS FOR LARGE TIMES. /AMR/
