Analysis of Traffic Flows as Measure of Economic Trends

Analiza tokova prijevoza kao pokazatelja gospodarskih kretanja

Traffic flows of a country are closely linked with the economic trends. The economic activities are unthinkable without well organized traffic. Transport ensures quick and successful exchange of goods and transportation of people. This paper analyses the time series of data on the number of carried passenger and the volume of transported freight in different transport sectors. Emphasis and analysis refers to the transport in the Republic of Croatia according to various modes: rail, road, sea and air transport. The data on the transport activities have been taken from the Statistical Journal of the Republic of Croatia for 2011. In this paper, the transport analyses use the mean values of the time series (static and dynamic).
