Design and Analysis of Five–Phase Tangent Magnetic Field Permanent Magnet Generator for Electric Vehicle
Five–phase generator, compared with the three–phase generator, the pulse frequency of the output voltage is high, the pulse amplitude is small, the ripple factor is low, and the average of the output voltage is high. The five–phase permanent magnet generator with tangent rotor has been designed in this paper. The magnetic field is subject to gather, and the tangent permanent magnet rotor improves the air gap flux density. The generator rotor has been designed, and the structural parameters have been calculated such as the volume of the permanent magnet, armature winding and so on. Based on the electromagnetic analysis software ANSOFT, the authors have analyzed the static magnetic field of the five–phase tangent magnetic field permanent magnet generators. Through experimental analysis, the five–phase permanent magnet generator can output stable voltage in the wide speed range and wide load range.
