MoDOT Research Peer Exchange: April 11-12, 2011

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) hosted a peer exchange on April 11-12, 2011 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Participants included representatives from four state departments of transportation, The National Academies, United States Department of Transportation-Research and Innovative Technology Administration, Federal Highway Administration, and both public and private research organizations. Discussion was structured around sharing best practices and experiences in the areas of identifying research ideas and implementing research. This report outlines the conversation's highlights and opportunities identified for MoDOT surrounding two topics 1) identifying research needs and 2) implementing research throughout the department.
