Contribution to Studying the Quality of Bus Services in the Republic of Croatia

Prilog istrazivanju kvalitete javnog autobusnog prijevoza u Republici Hrvatskoj

Bus passenger transport is one of the main forms of transport to meet the demand in public transport. Its quality is subject of interest for the bus carriers, passengers, and the wider community as well. It is precisely the quality that has become the major competitive advantage of enterprises, but also a way of further affirmation of public transport in relation to individual transport. Therefore, this paper presents the results of the research of the quality of bus services in the Republic of Croatia, which was conducted in the bus transport companies that operate urban and intercity public transport. It indicates the deficiencies in the quality management and has drawn attention to the necessity of showing greater concern about the quality of management of transport companies, in order to achieve business excellence, as the ultimate business goal.
