Calculating Railway Line Capacity on the Novska–Okucani Section using Computer Simulation
Izracun propusne moci pruge na dionici Novska – Okucani pomocu racunalne simulacije
In order to calculate more simply the capacity of certain sections of a railway line, it is necessary to determine the method for its calculation. For the above mentioned reason, in the middle of the last century, the UIC recommended the International Union of Railways (UIC) D405 method. Parallel to the development of railway traffic, a new method was developed, the UIC E405 method, which has been used in some countries for the past several years. This paper deals with the UIC E406 method and shows an example of the calculation of track capacity according to this method in the computer model for the elaboration of the timetable simulation. The mentioned simulation shall be presented for the Novska–Okucani section of M105 Novska–Tovarnik–State Border railway line.
