THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE STATE OF STRESS IN A PILED FOUNDATION /IN ITALIAN/

THE DISTRIBUTION IS ANALYZED OF STRESS AMONG PILES SUPPORTING A RIGID FOUNDATION SUBJECTED TO APPLIED LOADING. AFTER SOLVING THE HYPERSTATIC PROBLEM BY MEANS OF THE DEFORMATION METHOD THE AUTHOR DERIVES EXPRESSIONS FOR FORECASTING THE MOVEMENT FORCES FOR A SINGLE PILE. SOME CORRECTIVE CRITERIA FOR PROGRESSING FROM THE MOVEMENT OF AN ISOLATED PILE TO THAT OF A PILE FORMING PART OF A GROUP ARE PROVIDED. THE PROPOSED METHOD PERMITS THE DETERMINATION OF THE DISPLACEMENT UNDERGONE BY THE FOUNDATION AS A WHOLE. A NUMERICAL EXAMPLE IS GIVEN. /RRL/
