Einheitliche Plattform fuer OEPNV-Kommunikation auf gutem Weg: IP-KOM-OEV entwickelt wirtschaftliche Loesungen fuer Verkehrsunternehmen und Industrie: IBIS-IP / Consistent platform for public transport communication is well on track

Mit dem Ziel, eine moderne und leistungsfaehige Kommunikationsarchitektur fuer den oeffentlichen Verkehr zu entwickeln, hat der Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmer (VDV) zusammen mit 14 weiteren Partnern aus Wissenschaft, Industrie und Verkehrsunternehmen das Projekt IP-KOM-OEV (lnternet-Protokollbasierte Kommunikationsdienste im oeffentlichen Verkehr) definiert. ln dem Beitrag wird der Schwerpunkt auf die fahrzeugseitige Modernisierung des IBIS nach VDV300 gelegt, der in den letzten Jahren durch seine mangelnde Performance proprietaere Entwicklungen IP-basierter Kommunikationstechnologien zur Folge hatte. So entwickelt IP-KOM-OEV in diesem Bereich wirtschaftliche, da standardisierte Loesungen fuer die IP-basierte Fahrgastinformation. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: With the objective to develop modern and efficient communication architecture for the public transport, the Association of German Transportation Companies (VDV) together with 14 other partners from science, industry and transport companies, defined the project IP-KOM-OEV, an internet protocol based communication service in the public transport. This publication focuses on the vehicle-related modernization of the IBIS according to VDV300. The process was a result of the missing performance in the last few years followed by a proprietary development of IP based communication technology. So, IP-KOM-OEV and some branch experts devolop standardized solutions for IP-based passenger information thus consolidating the actual needs of the passengers. (A)
