USE OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OF UNDERGROUND HYDRAULICS /IN SPANISH/

USING A GENERAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION, THE MOVEMENT OF A LIQUID IN A POROUS MEDIUM IS STUDIED. A FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD IS APPLIED TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS MOVEMENT. THE METHOD OF RELAXATION IS USED TO SOLVE THE RESULTING EQUATION FOR STEADY FLOW AND TRANSIENT CONDITIONS, AND CHARTS SHOWING THE ITERATIVE PROCESS CORRESPONDING TO EACH OF THESE CONDITIONS ARE APPENDED. MENTION IS MADE OF THE SIDAS PROGRAM (DIGITAL SIMULATION OF UNDERGROUND WATER-TALBES) AND AN EXAMPLE OF ITS APPLICATION TO A REAL CASE IS INCLUDED. /TRRL/
