Rapid bridge replacement with modular bridges
The genesis of the panel bridge system was the original Bailey Bridge developed for British forces by Sir Donald Bailey in the 1940’s. In this unique industrial development effort, the system was designed, manufactured to strict tolerances, and put in service in less than 30 months. During the mid-1960’s, Acrow introduced the Bailey technology to the US. In 1975 Acrow introduced the newly created Acrow Panel Bridge. The Acrow Bridge system continued to evolve and in 1989 the Acrow 700XS Panel Bridge was introduced to the USA.
