INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF SUCTION DREDGING

The extent in which the efficiency and economy of suction dredging equipment depends on the arrangement of the centrifugal pump in the system is explained. It was found that in most cases it is not the delivery conditions in the pipeline itself that are decisive for the efficiency and economy of the hydraulic transport of solids but the conditions encountered when breaking up the solids from their formation and taking the solids up by the suction unit.
