SOIL STABILIZATION WITH COAL TAR

TWO METHODS OF SOIL STABILIZATION WITH COAL TAR WERE TRIED. IN THE FIRST A SUITABLE OIL OR LOW VISCOSITY TAR WAS MIXED WITH DRY SOIL AND THEN A MORE VISCOUS TAR BINDER WAS ADDED. IN THE SECOND, WATER WAS ADDED TO THE SOIL TO PREPARE IT FOR THE ADDITION OF A VISCOUS TAR BINDER. THE SECOND, THE WET METHOD, GAVE BETTER RESULTS. /AUTHOR/
