THE ROLE OF THE TIME FACTOR IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SOIL-CEMENT FOUNDATIONS /IN RUSSIAN/

BECAUSE THE PREPARATION OF SOIL-CEMENT TAKES PLACE IN TWO STAGES (INDUCTION PHASE AND CONSOLIDATION PHASE), IT IS POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE OPTIMUM DURATION OF THE PERMISSIBLE LIMIT FOR THE PREPARATION OF SOIL-CEMENT MIXTURES AND FOR THEIR COMPACTION AT A LATER STAGE; THIS LIMIT MUST NOT EXCEED THE DURATION OF THE INDUCTION PHASE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A CONICAL PLASTICITY-MEASURING APPARATUS SHOULD BE USED FOR CHARACTERIZING THE STRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SOIL-CEMENT AND DETERMINING THE DURATION OF THE INDUCTION PHASE. /LCPC/RRL/
