STRESS DISTRIBUTION IN PILED FOUNDATIONS. DATA FOR COMPUTERIZED CALCULATIONS /IN FRENCH/

THREE CONSTANTS ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN THE CHARACTERIZATION OF A PILE LATERAL FORMWORK: DEPTH OF IDEAL END RESTRAINT, STIFFNESS OF THE TERRAIN OR STIFFNESS/DEPTH RATIO. EACH CONSTANT ENABLES THE ELASTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF A PILE HEAD TO BE EVALUATED. THE SAME COMPUTER PROGRAM CAN BE USED TO CALCULATE THE DISTRIBUTION AT THE PILE HEAD OF STRESSES APPLIED TO THE WHOLE FOUNDATION THROUGH A RIGID FOOTING. ANOTHER COEFFICIENT, SPECIFIC TO EACH OF THE ABOVE CONSTANTS, IS NEEDED TO CALCULATE THE MAXIMUM BENDING EFFORT WHICH DETERMINES THE PROPORTION OF REINFORCEMENT NEEDED IN EACH PILE. /LCPC/A/RRL/
